This last section elicited an interesting conversation on "purpose" in our household. I had questions about God's plan for any of us and how we can even start to figure out what He intends our individual purposes to be if we are constantly struggling to balance human desires and Godly plans. How do you discern between the two? Austen made a great point and challenged me to think of purpose as being "micro" instead of "macro" and encouraged me to look for the reasons in each day that God directs my path in any given direction. This was a perspective shift for me, but I think it opens up "purpose" to contain many more possibilities than just one single thing or idea.

Thank you, Ty, for hosting book club! This was a great read and a lot of fun to discuss both at home and online.

Thanks for being a part of it! I loved how thoroughly you thought through each section, how detailed your responses were, and that you let the reading affect you so far beyond the surface level.

It was also especially encouraging to hear the many insights you came to through talking over the ideas with Austen. I love how God uses dialogue with people to teach us and lead us!

So appreciate your engagement throughout, and I hope you'll jump in on the next book club once its officially announced!

“The whole purpose of becoming a Christian is not merely to improve morally, it is to be Transformed into a whole new kind of being — to become a son of God like The Son of God.”

You put to words exactly what people need to hear. The whole purpose of Christ arrival was for this exact reason.

I admit there are many times throughout the day where I push back against the Spirit and say, "Don't make me better. I don't want to be perfect!" 😂😅 I much prefer complacency, laziness, and being "good enough."

Oh, how I'm glad Jesus won't leave me where I am. He won't let up until His work is finished in me. And I have given him much work to do 😬😝

Thank you for leading this study! It was fun to participate from Idaho 🥔

It was so fun to get your perspective each week, Shalisa! Always appreciated your honesty, humility, and openness.

I hope the Lord continues to transform you through what we learned together, and would love for you to join us again for the next book club if you're up for it! It will be announced soon!
